Is it just me...

Is it just me, or is it impossible to be motivated to crochet when it's hot out? I haven't even been able to come up with any ideas lately. I can't wait for fall.

Sorry

Sorry about the lack of updates lately; I've been sort of busy, and when I'm not, I just haven't been motivated to crochet, or write out patterns (although, to be honest, I don't think I've ever been too excited about writing out a pattern). I'd like to say I'll have something up soon, but I just don't see that happening. Once summer's over, I'll probably start posting more again. So, sorry to anyone who's been waiting for a certain pattern; you're gonna have to wait a little longer.

Munchlax and Pokemon are owned by Nintendo. The pattern is my baby; please do NOT sell anything you make from it, and don't try to pass it off as your own (that's bad karma). Making one for charity it ok, though (it's more than ok, as a matter of fact). Feel free to share the pattern, but, again, give credit where it's due.

Bulbasaur Evolutions

I originally had this pattern for sale in my Zibbet shop, but I've been having problems with my PayPal account for months; whenever someone would buy it, the payment wouldn't go through because, apparently, I wasn't a verified user (which I definitely should be). I figured this is God's way of telling me the pattern should be posted here, for free. So here it it.
I only completed Ivysaur; I made Bulbasaur's bulb and Venusaur's plant and pinned them to the body to make sure they looked ok, but I still haven't gotten around to making the bodies for them, so sorry about the lack of pictures.

Emolga Pattern

I decided to wanted to make an Emolga awhile ago, but I was almost out of white yarn. When I finally got more, I realized my sister's cat destroyed all my black yarn (thanks, Milo), so I just made a shiny one (which was probably better, because I had a lot more brown yarn than I knew what to do with). I know she's missing the white in her ears, but I really wanted to get her done last night and I was super tired. I'll probably get around to it eventually. Maybe. Anyway, as always, any questions, feel free to ask.

While I'm not fortunate enough to own Pokemon or Duskull (those lucky ducks at Nintendo do), this pattern is my brain child. Please don't sell anything made from it (although if it's for charity it's cool), and give credit where it's due if you make him.

Attack mask, beak and crown to head (it’s easiest to do it in that order, trust me), then attach head to body. Sew bibs, cape, wings and feet (again, that order is easiest) in place. Cut eyes and spots for the belly from felt, and there you have it.

F/O, don’t stuff; attach to bottom of shell

Give it a face and shell markings (I suggest doing anything with fabric paint last, because, trust me, it makes a mess otherwise), and unless I forgot something (and if I did, please let me know!), you've got yourself a handmade Togepi!

Pokemon and Togepi belong to Nintendo, not me (sadly). The pattern is mine. Don't try to sell it, or anything made from it, or pass it off as your own. Using it to make gifts or donations for charities/auctions is totally ok.

Litwick/Hitomoshi Pattern

I've decided Litwick is my favorite fifth generation Pokemon, so I made one. She's not that big; maybe five inches, from top of the flame to bottom. I also made her shiny, because I had no purple yarn (weird, because purple is my favorite color). If you have any questions, just ask. I don't mind, really.

Materials:
G hook (fun fact: when I looked at my G hook the other day, I realized it's a G/6, which i found to be pretty awesome)
Worsted weight yarn in white, and either light and dark purple or blue, depending on weather you want a normal one, or a shiny one. Also, if you'd like to use thicker/thinner yarn and a bigger/smaller hook, knock yourself out.
Needle for sewing
Yellow felt for eyes
Some black yarn or thread for the mouth
Stuffing

Starting with light purple/blue:
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring
Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch (12 stitches)
Round 3: sc in next stitch, 2 sc in next around (18)
Round 4: sc in next 2 stitches, 2 sc in next around (24)
Round 5: sc in next 3 stitches, 2 sc in next around (30)
Change to white in last stitch of round 2
Round 6: sc in next 4 stitches, 2 sc in next around (36)
Round 7: in back loops only, sc around
Rounds 8-13: Sc around
Round 14: sc in next 4, dec over next 2 stitches around (30)
Round 15: sc around
Round 16:sc in next 4, dec over next 2 stitches around (24)
Round 17: sc around
Round 18: working in back loops only, sc in next 2, dec over next 2 stitches around (24 front loops, 18 stitches)
Round 19: sc in next stitch, dec over next 2 stitches around (12)
Round 20: dec over next 2 stitches around (6)
F/O

Join yarn to round 18
Round 1: sc in next 2 stitches, 2 sc in next around
Round 2: sl, sc, hdc, dc, trb twice in same st, dc, hdc, sc, hdc, 2dc, trb, dc, hdc, sc, 2hdc, dc, trb, dc, hdc, 2sc, hdc, dc, trb, dc, 2hdc, dc, trb, trb, dc, 2hdc
Sl to 1st sl of round 2
F/O

Join yarn to round 7
Round 1: sc in next stitches, 2 sc in next around (42)
Round 2 (top wax drippings): You can get creative with this; I did a combination of single, half double, double and treble crochets, plus two stitches I may or may not have made up: it’s the same as a treble, except you wrap the yarn around three or four times, then draw it through two loops every time.
Sc, hdc, dc, trb, trb+ trb++
Sl to first stitch of round 3
F/O

Arms:
Round 1: sc 5 in magic ring
Rounds 2-4: Sc around
F/O attach to sides

Flame (dark purple/blue):
Round 1: sc 4 in magic ring
Round 2: sc in first stitch, 2 sc in next around (6)
Round 3: sc in next 2 stitches, 2 sc in next around (8)
Round 4: sc in next 3 stitches, 2 sc in next around (10)
Round 5: sc in next stitch, 2 sc in next around (15)
Rounds 6-8: Sc around
Round 9: sc in next stitch, dec over next 2 stitches around (10)
F/O, and attach to top

Attach the eyes, embroider on the mouth, and BOOM. You're done. You have yourself a Litwick. Or a Hitomoshi, if you prefer the Japanese name.

I have a blog?

So I was thinking about starting a blog to post some of my crochet patterns (because I only sell ones that were a complete pain to figure out), and also to occasionally ramble on about whatever to someone other than my cats. Turns out, I already tried that, and I only did it once. So here's hoping I'll start doing this more frequently than once every seven months, because, you know, I'm a pretty insane interesting person, and I'm sure no one everyone is interested in hearing about my extremely dull interesting life. Or, at the very least, interested in my Pokemon crocheting (and occasionally a pattern, when I actually remember to keep track of what I did). So, uh, maybe I'll post again soon? I have a few patterns in the process of being written out, and there's a 51 percent chance I won't forget about this within the next hour. Anyway, I'll stop rambling now, but, yeah, a Pokemon pattern soon, and, uh, good night!
