Give it a face and shell markings (I suggest doing anything with fabric paint last, because, trust me, it makes a mess otherwise), and unless I forgot something (and if I did, please let me know!), you've got yourself a handmade Togepi!
Pokemon and Togepi belong to Nintendo, not me (sadly). The pattern is mine. Don't try to sell it, or anything made from it, or pass it off as your own. Using it to make gifts or donations for charities/auctions is totally ok.

Sandshrew and Pokemon belong to Nintendo. The pattern is moi's creation. If you'd like to use it to create a Sandshrew as a gift, or to donate to a charity or auction, that's wonderful, just please don't sell anything you make, and give credit where it's due.

Litwick/Hitomoshi Pattern
I've decided Litwick is my favorite fifth generation Pokemon, so I made one. She's not that big; maybe five inches, from top of the flame to bottom. I also made her shiny, because I had no purple yarn (weird, because purple is my favorite color). If you have any questions, just ask. I don't mind, really.
Materials:
G hook (fun fact: when I looked at my G hook the other day, I realized it's a G/6, which i found to be pretty awesome)
Worsted weight yarn in white, and either light and dark purple or blue, depending on weather you want a normal one, or a shiny one. Also, if you'd like to use thicker/thinner yarn and a bigger/smaller hook, knock yourself out.
Needle for sewing
Yellow felt for eyes
Some black yarn or thread for the mouth
Stuffing
Starting with light purple/blue:
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring
Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch (12 stitches)
Round 3: sc in next stitch, 2 sc in next around (18)
Round 4: sc in next 2 stitches, 2 sc in next around (24)
Round 5: sc in next 3 stitches, 2 sc in next around (30)
Change to white in last stitch of round 2
Round 6: sc in next 4 stitches, 2 sc in next around (36)
Round 7: in back loops only, sc around
Rounds 8-13: Sc around
Round 14: sc in next 4, dec over next 2 stitches around (30)
Round 15: sc around
Round 16:sc in next 4, dec over next 2 stitches around (24)

Round 2 (top wax drippings): You can get creative with this; I did a combination of single, half double, double and treble crochets, plus two stitches I may or may not have made up: it’s the same as a treble, except you wrap the yarn around three or four times, then draw it through two loops every time.
